Currency Display Settings

The Currency Display Settings let you control how currency information appears across your storefront. This is especially useful for international stores or any brand that sells globally, where currency clarity can improve trust and reduce confusion.

Currency Formatting Options

Display Currency Code

Enable this option to display the currency code (e.g., USD, EUR, GBP) next to all product prices.

Example:

  • With code: $49.00 USD

  • Without code: $49.00

This feature helps customers clearly identify which currency is being used, which is important for:

  • International visitors

  • Cross-border purchases

  • Multi-currency Shopify setups

If your store uses Shopify Markets or currency converters, showing the currency code is especially recommended.

Notes

  • This setting applies globally to all prices across your store (product pages, cart, collection pages, etc.)

  • It does not affect how Shopify handles currency conversion; it’s purely visual

  • For stores using auto-detect or manual currency switchers, enabling this setting improves clarity
