Terms and Conditions Settings

The Terms & Conditions settings let you enforce customer consent for your store’s policies before they complete a purchase or interact with your products. This is especially useful for stores with legal requirements, special policies, or custom terms related to purchases, returns, or licensing.

Select Terms & Conditions Page

Use this option to select the existing page on your store that contains your full Terms & Conditions.

 • Go to Online Store > Pages in your Shopify admin

 • Create a page titled something like “Terms & Conditions” if you haven’t already

 • Return to this setting and select that page from the dropdown

This page will be used as the linked reference wherever the Terms & Conditions checkbox is shown (in the cart or on product pages).

Enable Terms & Conditions Checkbox in Cart

Enable this to require customers to agree to your Terms & Conditions before proceeding to checkout from the cart page.

 • A checkbox will appear above the "Checkout" button

 • If unchecked, the user will receive a warning and won’t be able to continue

 • The checkbox is linked to the page you selected above

This is useful for stores with digital goods, pre-orders, or international shipping where legal clarity is required before purchase.

Show Terms & Conditions Checkbox on Product Page

Turn this option on to add the Terms & Conditions checkbox directly on the product page, just above or below the Add to Cart button.

 • Useful when you want agreement to specific product terms before adding to cart

 • Works well for service-based products, digital downloads, or any non-refundable item

Custom Terms & Conditions Text

You can fully customize the label that appears next to the checkbox.

Default: I agree with the Terms & Conditions.

You may modify it to:

 • Include styled links: I agree with the Terms & Conditions.

 • Add product-specific warnings or clarifications: I understand this product is non-refundable and agree to the terms.

This field accepts HTML, so you can include formatting, links, or even small icons for visual emphasis if needed.
